De Panasonic KX-HNC600EX2 is een robuuste beveiligingscamera voor binnen en buiten, met IP55-bescherming tegen stof en water. Het draadloze bereik tot 300 meter is ruim voldoende voor de meeste woningen. De camera biedt nachtzicht tot 12 meter en heeft een ingebouwde microfoon en speaker voor communicatie. Wel is de beeldkwaliteit beperkt tot 640x480 pixels, wat minder scherp is dan veel moderne camera’s. Er is geen cloudopslag of FTP-mogelijkheid, en bediening via app is vereist. Ook ontbreken zoomfuncties en kun je de camerahoek niet op afstand aanpassen. Over het algemeen is het een degelijke keuze voor basisbewaking, maar minder geschikt als je hoge resolutie of uitgebreide smart functies zoekt.

Pros : Relatively easy to set up. Can expand easily if u have the HUB. Cons : Low resolution. The biggest problem I have with this model is that it makes a fairly loud clicking noise when automatically switching from normal color mode to a infrared mode. And this happens in any tricky light situations, like if there is curtain or window or dim lamp in the camera field, which is the case for any normal house setting. It keeps clicking every few seconds none stop. The noise is enough to wake up sleeping babies or startle sleeping pets out of sleep. There is no turning it off possibilities in setting so u r stuck with it. Note : I used it indoors. Have not tried it outdoors, coz I doubt it can withstand direct sunlight, rain, snow and freezing temperatures...seriously its u likely, unless u house it inside something to protect it from elements...

The picture quality is unusably bad if there is any motion in the view - like vegetation moving in the wind. Even when the camera is right next to the hub. So, useless as an outdoor camera looking out over a garden.

The camera has nice shape and silicon rubber seal as spare part is included. theft protection by connect it with metal wire is included too. Camera Quality is only ordinary cheap 640 x 480 VGA.....in year 2017 could have already HD for same Price..... DECT range distance never reach the promised 300m /1000ft in outside area..... Hub is in my living room, house is made from wood and mount it at Garage outside is made from wood too, distance is about 20 m very far from promises in Manual...:( Sensitivity of Alarm is very good and the area can be choosen by user by himself to set Alarm Areas and not Alarm Areas in a frame ......:) ATTENTION Australian, USA units cannot be mixed with European units because DECT Standard from Europe is differnt to USA and Australia.....:(

I'm using these to monitor my house at night. I set it up to record from about 8pm to 6am. Sometimes it takes a lot of motion to trigger the recording and there a second or more delay from motion to recording. I see lots of foots of people or tails of animals as they are almost out of the frame when the recording starts. The quality is good enough. This is just to see who or what is out there. Think CCTV. One thing to point out is that although the camera is weather proof, and it is pretty good, the power supplies are not and should be inside. I have had two that were plugged in outside get fried.

Very easy to install if you already have a hub. Set up took a minute. Works really well even at some distance from the hub. Initially I wanted to know what was destroying one of our trees and I had the answer and evidence in just 12 hours. Will now redeploy it for more normal security use.
