De Yokohama Advan Sport V105 in maat 245/40R19 94Y is een max‑performance zomerband die vooral geliefd is bij sportieve rijders. Gebruikers en tests noemen consequent de zeer sterke droog grip, snelle stuurrespons en hoge bochtensnelheden als grootste pluspunten. Ook op nat wegdek presteert de band voor zijn segment overtuigend, met goede waterafvoer en voorspelbaar gedrag zolang de band op temperatuur is. Daarbij blijft het geluidsniveau voor een sportband netjes en is het comfort acceptabel, zeker als je de nadruk op prestaties legt. De belangrijkste trade‑off is slijtage: de zachtere compound zorgt bij dynamisch rijden voor merkbaar snellere slijtage dan bij meer comfortgerichte zomerbanden. Verder voelt de band door de stijvere zijwanden wat harder aan over oneffenheden, en een minderheid van de rijders klaagt over natte remwegen bij noodstops. Net als andere UHP‑zomerbanden is hij niet bedoeld voor kou, sneeuw of ijs. Al met al is dit een interessante keuze voor wie een scherpe, sportieve band zoekt met sterke prestaties op droog en nat en een goede prijs‑kwaliteitverhouding, maar je moet de kortere levensduur en het stevigere rijcomfort erbij nemen.

I love this tire. My car came standard with runflat tyres, which although they have the advantage of being able to act as an emergency tire for a few kilometres, the feeling of lack of grip was constant. I am now confident in my car's gripping capabilities. If you are a person who is looking above all for a comfortable tire, perhaps the equivalent of this rubber in Michelin is the best option for you. But if you want a tire that gives you a little more sportiness, without a doubt, this is your wheel.
