De Michelin Pilot Sport 5 255/35R18 XL 94Y wordt consequent geprezen om zijn zeer hoge grip op droog én nat wegdek en het vertrouwen dat hij geeft bij bochtenwerk en stevig remmen. Testrapporten en vele gebruikers benadrukken de scherpe, directe stuurrespons en hoge stabiliteit, waardoor dit een favoriet is bij sportieve rijders. In vergelijking met oudere generaties sportbanden valt de levensduur positief op: de slijtage is meestal gelijkmatig en de band gaat voor deze klasse relatief lang mee. Tegelijk blijft het comfort en het geluidsniveau voor een sportieve zomerband op een goed, dagelijks bruikbaar niveau. De keerzijde is dat de Pilot Sport 5 duidelijk duurder is dan veel alternatieven, en sommige bestuurders melden dat de schouders sneller slijten bij agressief gebruik. Smooth ride. Incredible grip that even prevents the traction control from engaging in brisk pull aways from a standstill. (My car is FWD). The only negative with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is that tyre wear does appear to be slightly higher than with a regular tyre.

Se volete una bella guida sportiva sull'asciutto sono perfetti. Sul bagnato leggermente meno performanti ma direi che è normale! Ho provato precedentemente altre marche ma per me restano pe migliori!

Usure des pneus très importante Attention aux routes de campagnes gravillonneuses pouvant endommager les pneus très rapidement. Les voitures lourdes (type electrique tesla), use les pneus à la vitesse de l'éclair, penser à vérifier courrament. Malgré une usure avancée (voire très avancée), les pneus n'éclatent pas, ils tiennent bon quoi qu'il arrive. Impressionnant.
