De Michelin Pilot Sport 5 is een ultra high performance zomerband met zeer veel grip op droog en nat wegdek. Bestuurders prijzen vooral de precieze stuurreacties, korte remwegen en het hoge vertrouwen in de regen. Tegelijk wordt de band gezien als comfortabel en relatief stil voor een sportieve band, wat hem goed geschikt maakt voor dagelijks gebruik en langere ritten. Een duidelijk voordeel is ook de bovengemiddelde levensduur voor deze klasse, al blijft het geen kilometerkampioen. Nadelen zijn vooral de hogere aanschafprijs vergeleken met goedkopere merken en het feit dat de band echt alleen voor zomerse omstandigheden bedoeld is: in kou en sneeuw is een winter- of allseasonband veiliger. Wie bereid is meer te betalen voor prestaties en veiligheid in de zomer, krijgt met deze band een zeer uitgebalanceerd pakket.

Smooth ride. Incredible grip that even prevents the traction control from engaging in brisk pull aways from a standstill. (My car is FWD). The only negative with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is that tyre wear does appear to be slightly higher than with a regular tyre.

Se volete una bella guida sportiva sull'asciutto sono perfetti. Sul bagnato leggermente meno performanti ma direi che è normale! Ho provato precedentemente altre marche ma per me restano pe migliori!

Usure des pneus très importante Attention aux routes de campagnes gravillonneuses pouvant endommager les pneus très rapidement. Les voitures lourdes (type electrique tesla), use les pneus à la vitesse de l'éclair, penser à vérifier courrament. Malgré une usure avancée (voire très avancée), les pneus n'éclatent pas, ils tiennent bon quoi qu'il arrive. Impressionnant.
