De Goodyear UltraGrip Performance + staat bekend als een sterke allround winterband met veel grip op sneeuw, nat en droog wegdek. Rijders geven aan dat de band veel vertrouwen biedt bij remmen en sturen in koude omstandigheden, terwijl het comfort en geluidsniveau prettig blijven voor dagelijks gebruik. Dankzij de moderne wintercompound blijft de band soepel bij lage temperaturen, wat de veiligheid ten goede komt. Er zijn wel opmerkingen dat de grip op puur ijs iets achter kan blijven op de allerbeste ijsbanden, en dat enkele gebruikers schade aan de zijwand melden bij nieuwe exemplaren. Ook is de rolweerstand niet de allerlaagste in dit segment. Voor bestuurders die vooral een veilige, comfortabele en uitgebalanceerde winterband zoeken, is dit echter een zeer aantrekkelijke keuze.

Der Reifen fühlt sich in Verbindung mit einem Allrad sehr sicher an. Der Reifen ist komfortabel. Auf der Landstraße ist der Reifen angenehm leise, auf der Autobahn überwiegen bei mir die Windgeräusche, daher ist hier die Lautstärke des Reifens irrelevant.

Very soft shoulder tires, therefore a lot of comfort. Very progressive loss of grip, easy to control. Low wear in relation to the use (at times extremely sporty) that I made of it. Good in the snow but not great, probably due to the vehicle with a light rear. Always very safe.
