De TomTom Start 50 Centraal Europa biedt een groot en helder 5 inch touchscreen, levenslange gratis kaartupdates en handige rijstrookaanwijzingen. Het apparaat is eenvoudig te bedienen en bestemmingen zijn snel te vinden. Wel mist het verkeersinformatie, Bluetooth en spraakbesturing, waardoor het minder geschikt is voor wie extra connectiviteit zoekt. De batterijduur is beperkt en multimediale functies ontbreken. Dit model is vooral geschikt voor gebruikers die betrouwbare basisnavigatie willen zonder extra opties.

Takes ages to update. Had our address changed by council 1.5 years ago, and people, using the same stuff, can't find us as TomTom hasn't been updated. Wrote 2 complaints to TomTom itself, and still the same NO result. Problems with maps' downloading. It's also inconvenient to use locally as doesn't update with traffic. Bought this device, which is not cheap, and still using my phone as GPS! Rubbish. Don't buy.

I had one of these and was semi pleased with it. Between this and my garmin nuvi 2595lmt. Finding places was easy. This actually could find addresses the garmin could not. Yes, they were usually off by a few yards. But they were found. As far as map detail it's not the best. But you can customize speed limits and change where things are one the map. You can also get an idea where attractions are ahead also. So expect to make adjustments after you update. It's not the best gps. But you will get where you are going. Unfortunate as mine was stolen one night from my pickup.

Bought for my Mom as a gift. She loves it. 5 inch screen is nice. My wife has the 3.5 inch screen which she has had for years. Nice product.

This wasn't my first TomTom and I never had any problems with them in the past. But this model: for four days and nights I was trying to update my device with new maps but nothing has worked. Finally the device displayed a message "No maps available,please reinstall the maps (which I was trying to do tens of times!!!)" and stopped working. I checked internet and it turned out lots of people had the same problem. Satnav returned for a refund. Very dissapointed:(((

It works well, the screen looks good and attaches easily onto my car windshield. I'm giving it a 3 because of how long it takes to start up. It sometimes takes 2-3 minutes to get going. Not ideal when trying to make a quick getaway.
