Ortofon 2M Blue MM-element

It's early days, so this stylus needs a few hundred sides of playing before, as I understand these things, it's worn in. However it's replacing the stylus on a cartridge I've had for many years & has performed really well to my ears. The old one simply wore out. (I suspect a ham-fisted visitor was rough with it as the tip was bent to one side.) Obviously like all hi-fi, it's subjective & YMMV. I have it fitted to a pretty old Rega Planar 3 which it's recommended for by people who appear to know. I'm an amateur so tend to follow the pack. It comes well protected & is very easy to plug & play. Back to spinning my vinyl - happy days.

I purchased the ortophon blue as an upgrade for my late 70’s Sony turntable. It has certainly given greater sensitivity and output through my Arcam amplifier. A very nice detailed cartridge.

I was delighted with the help received. Sean has perfect customer skills, and I appreciated his technical skill, his explanations and his patience. Unfortunately I have not been able to fit the new needle as I can't remove the old one, but I will try again.

Since buying this needle i realised how worn the previous one was.

I bought this as an upgrade from a Rega Caron for my Technics SL1210. It is a great upgrade. I feel like I'm rediscovering my records. Delivery was next day which I hadnt expected. Great service from Richer Sounds
