De GoPro Volta is een populaire accessoire voor HERO9, HERO10 en HERO11 gebruikers omdat hij de accuduur flink verlengt. In de praktijk halen veel gebruikers ruim vijf uur 4K‑opnames of lange timelapses zonder batterijen te wisselen. De Volta combineert een powerbank, handgreep, draadloze afstandsbediening en inklapbaar statief in één compact product, wat hem erg handig maakt voor reizen en vloggen. De bediening op het handvat wordt vaak als comfortabel en intuïtief genoemd. Tegelijk zijn er duidelijke minpunten: de Volta is alleen weerbestendig en niet echt waterdicht, dus minder geschikt voor intensieve watersport. Ook wordt de prijs regelmatig als hoog ervaren en werkt hij optimaal alleen met HERO9 en nieuwere modellen. Daarnaast is de grip korter dan veel selfiesticks, waardoor je minder brede selfie‑shots krijgt. Voor wie vooral langere opnametijd en gemak zoekt, weegt het voordeel van de extra batterij en geïntegreerde functies meestal zwaarder dan deze nadelen.

You are supposed to be able to use the wired USB-C cable to use the buttons to start/stop recording and switch modes on the GoPro, but this doesn't work. I also have not gotten the Bluetooth feature to work. This sucks given the price of the Volta stand, but the extra battery it gives the GoPro and the tripod makes it extremely useful for filming my DJ sets. Just wish the product worked like it is supposed to.
