I was expecting a cover made of some sort of water proofed fabric but the cover is actually a thin sheet of coated plastic or nylon. Bought it for my 7DMII with the Canon 100-400m zoom. The medium cover is too large for that arrangement. Ive have to use rubber bands to keep the cover tight against the front lens. The red end will wrap around the zoom lens a few times covering up the pile Velcro completely with nothing for the hook Velcro to catch. This is with and with out using lens hood. Also I recommend practicing fitting the cover before the bad weather hits.

Used in light rain and heavy rain while shooting for a car event. Stood in heavy rain without umbrella or any other coverage. Only used this on my lens 24-105mm and 70-200mm. Covered the lens and camera without them getting wet. Has enough room to be able to use the zoom on lenses unlike other camera. You will need to shoot in auto focus as there is no way to adjust the focus manually when using this cover (as same with all other rain covers). Another feature that is very important is that it has an attachment to fix in the view finder where the see through rain protector part is. This keeps the screen display in place to see all setting and easily change them without the rain cover falling over it. This is more expensive than other rain covers, but it is well worth the money since you can adjust the zoom and have the clear view part of the rain cover fixed on the screen

I purchased this rain cover to keep my Canon 300mm F2.8 L IS lens dry It has a large plastic window in the rear so you can still see your controls and 2 viewfinder cups so it should fit any of your Canon bodies.

Purchased this for use during state football championships. Rained all day long and my equipment didn't get any moisture at all. Great cover! Very lightweight.
