Canon Lens Hood ES-60

An excellent long lens hood but overpriced, although I really like the click button lock/release button on the side of the hood. High quality. It locks the hood securely in place. I suggest getting a rubber collapsible hood if cost is a concern.

A must have for EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens. It protects your lens, and minimize the glare. Built quality is great.

I waited and waited for a generic ES-60. I finally gave up and purchased the Canon branded hood. One week later, a generic came to market for $15.... Its a solid hood. Should be for the price. Way too expensive for what it is. However, I prefer to use hoods, they reduce glare and protect the lens. No regrets.

Again I am disappointed in a canon lens hood (previously disappointed by the lens hood of the EF-M 22mm). It is too large. Not very compact and interferes with the grip (I have an M6) when reversed for storage. When in use, the hood makes the EF-S 32mm very long to use. I dont know why canon needed to make the lens so long but making the hood just as long defeats the idea of a compact camera. And as usual it is expensive for this much plastic.

As EF-M lens hoods go, this hood for the classy, new EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM is large- almost as long as the lens barrel. It can be reverse mounted for transit, but must be removed to dismount the lens. It has a spring activated latch, first Ive seen on a Canon hood. Rotate to mount, then a satisfying click of the latch says youre done. This classy hood for the classy lens sells for a very classy price- but very well made, as youd expect from Canon.
