Sony GP-VPT2BT Vlogging Grip

It works as is but is extremely overpriced for what you get. It's literally just a camera grip with a record button/tripod. Not worth $199 (I got it for $99 thanks to a bundle discount, still wouldn't pay that much). Also non-rechargeable - has a small battery? Why wouldn't you just make this Type-C rechargeable like the matching camera(s). Only positive is that it's well made.

I previously had a similar item from a different manufacturer that to be honest was not very good. I looked at this Sony item and carefully considered the cost. But as they say “you get what you pay for” and with this item the build quality is wonderful. It’s made of strong materials and provides a very stable platform if you are using it in tripod mode. Something essential if you are trusting an expensive camera to it. The connection to the camera base is very secure, so again if using this as a hand-held device you can do do safe in the knowledge the camera is securely held in place.

A very helpful accessory to my ZV-1! It really made handling and shooting a lot easier!

I actually got this free with my ZV-1. When I sold that and bought the ZVE1, I kept this. To be honest I rarely use this but have fitted it with a quick release head to work with the Peak Design system, like I have on my tripod and also that clips in the Peak Design Clip on my bag (all worth getting). However it does what it says on the tin and is very well made in ABS type heavy plastic. Works just the same with the ZVE1 as it did with the ZV-1.

I found the installation connection to be child’s play. I have used the Operating buttons easy to used. The tripod feature is brilliant and I use with shooting grip or tripod when photographing.
