De Smeg DCF02CREU combineert iconisch jaren 50 design met moderne functionaliteit. I ordered it because I really liked the design but for the price paid the quality is poor. Especially the glass carafe. The cheap plastic handle wobbled from the start and broke off within 6 months of light use (not daily as bought for our holiday home). I can be glad it happened over the counter top, otherwise I would have been burned by hot coffee!!! The replacement glass jar cost me nearly £50 incl postage. Considering that I could buy 3 coffee machines from other brands for the price I paid for this one I would not recommend or buy again as poor quality for the price. Which shows again branded items don't guarantee quality. Waste of money. Sorry.
