The filters have considerably less carbon filter material than the ones they are replacing, see photo, the filter on the left is the original one which is heavy and jammed full of carbon elements, the one on the right is the new one. The air is supposed to be drawn through the filter, but if you fit these with so much gap above the carbon filter elements the air will simply be drawn there, rather than through the filter material, rendering it completely ineffective. Not worth fitting.

Charcoal visible through plastic mesh, originals had a felt type barrier, but ok

Easily fitted replacement filters that appear to be working well since installation.

The filters fitted my Neff cooker extractor hood and they work perfectly. Excellent product with an affordable price
